 FAQs

Some frequently asked questions:

Do you require amplification?
No, we do not bring or require amplification. However, you should consider the size of your venue when selecting an ensemble. The quartet is better heard in large rooms, loud receptions, or outdoors.

What do you require to perform?
Just one armless chair per musician, and shelter from direct sunlight/wind, if outdoors. See our contract for conditions on weather and temperature.

How will the musicians dress?
Our musicians always perform in formal dress black.

Do you attend wedding rehearsals?
No, we do our planning via direct communication with you, and consultation with your coordinator on the day of the event.

Do you charge mileage or travel fees?
Only if we must travel outside certain zip codes. A map of our travel radius is included in your quote. The general charge is .50 per mile, per musician. We also pro-rate our fee for waiting and/or travel time between weddings & receptions.

How much is the deposit?
We require a $20-per-musician deposit at the time of contract signing, which is non-refundable in the event of cancelation. The balance is due two weeks before the event.

Do I have to select every single piece of music?
Not at all!
We are happy to make suggestions to help you create your wedding day soundtrack. Your playlist isn't due until 30 days before your event.

Can I request a song not on your list?
Yes! The quartet package includes one free custom arrangement. Additional requests for new music can be had for a fee. We require 60-day notice for new music requests.

Can you accompany a vocal solo?
Sometimes, if the music is provided. Much depends on the style of the song, so contact us with more information.

Music Selection

Many key moments in the ceremony are timed to the music, with the help of your coordinator.  We arrive early to work out timing and music cues.
